K9 Wedge Prism K9 Wedge Prisms are generally used to deflect incident light beams to a specified direction at a defined deflection angle. When used in pairs, by rotating the two wedges relative to each other, the outgoing beam can point to any direction within a cone whose central axis coincides with the incident beam. The wedge angle and anti‑reflection coating on the rear surface help reduce ghost‑image interference caused by back‑surface reflection. High‑precision substrates guarantee the wave‑front accuracy of both reflected and transmitted light. K9 optical glass features excellent broadband transmission. It delivers high transmittance in the 350nm‑2000nm spectral range. With relatively high hardness and good resistance to physical and chemical stimuli, as well as low bubble and inclusion content, it is widely adopted as substrate material for various precision optical components.
